Graham

Meet Graham, a sculpture created by artist Patricia Piccinini in collaboration with a a leading trauma surgeon and a crash investigation expert, for a new Australian road safety campaign.

Graham is designed to survive a fatal car crash that any other normal human would not. His gigantic helmet-like head, the lack of a neck, his hoof-like feet, as well as other unnatural features reflect a human body evolved to sustain the forces involved in auto collisions.

Rosenberg Loses It On Police Officer Over Alton Sterling Killing

Rosenberg: “As an officer yourself, it looks bad, no?”

Officer: “No, I’ll tell you that it’s, um…”

Rosenberg: [angrily] “Well can you say the words ‘It looks bad?’ I have to say this, and this is the problem I have with police officers, no disrespect to you; y’all don’t ever wanna point at someone else and say ‘You can’t do your job well!’ I can tell you right now if I heard a radio personality get on the air and do something irresponsible, I’d go ‘That’s a bad radio personality! He does a bad job!’ Police officers never want to say when y’all do a bad job. So that’s the reason the public thinks all of you are bad! Because you won’t ever call someone out and say they murdered someone in cold blood. It happened again! And until you guys start taking responsibility for your own, people from the street are gonna be upset instead! So how about y’all lead the movement instead! How about instead of people rioting, police officers get out on it themselves! And you guys are the first ones on the front lines! That’s what should happen! Instead of you struggling to say ‘Well, I don’t know! It could be!’ They murdered that man! We just saw it!”

Artist Holly Fox Uses Cookies as a Canvas to Compose Adorable Illustrations

American artist Holly Fox creates eccentric and adorable illustrations on delicious homemade cookies, which were created using a variety of eccentric cookie cutters. A former graphic designer with a knack for color composition and quirky designs, Fox started to bake cookies on a whim five years ago.

An expert at naming colors and choosing fonts in the graphic design realm, Fox implemented her artistic skills into mixing vibrant and playful hues; each piece contains a stunning, custom color. Each hue resembles the colors in a children’s toy, storybook or cartoon. They are tender and happy reminders of childhood and fun, which is always associated with eating cookies with milk.

An avid lover of Pantone, the artist also created a collection of Pantone swatches in the form of cookies.

In addition to her light-hearted and whimsical designs, she creates an array of batches which depict an artist’s paint palette, snowflakes, ice-cream cones, and adorable bitten watermelons, which match her fun-loving personality. You can find her entire collection in her Etsy shop.
